I know Windows 8.1 just came out, but I figured I would start a post about it so as problems are solved, they can be reported. (Not expecting a lot of help this early.) I was running ver 10.0.2 under Windows 7 and upgraded to Win8.1 64-bit and am trying to run ver 11.1 64-bit of Lightworks. Got it installed after manually installing.NET Framework (from Windows 8.1 install media) and DirectX9.0c legacy files (from microsoft.com). Ran the install as administrator. Running Lightworks as administrator.

I get this message before anything else happens (no desktop, no splash screen.) (see attached image) Ran compatibility for Windows 7 and Windows Vista (sp2) no help. Quicktime 7.7 is installed. Anything else I should try? EDIT: This was in the Windows application log.
